BMP Residence is the perfect place to meet other travellers, with a Tourism Authority on site you were constantly seeing the same people on the tours and then later in and around the Guesthouse. There were also two swimming pools at the Guesthouse which was a godsend after three days of painful trekking!
Guesthouse Name and Address: B.M.P Residence, 45/1 Soi 2 Rajchiangsean Rd | Haiya, Chiang Mai, Thailand
Contact Details: Phone: +66 53282261/ +66 53208822
Contact Name – Ping Pong (At the Tourism Desk)
Room Details: Double Room with air conditioning and en suite bathroom with hot water, fridge and cable TV
Price per night: We are not exactly sure what we paid for the room as this was included in the package with TIT. There are two separate buildings, one with air-conditioned rooms and one with fan rooms. They had a huge variety of rooms on offer from single fan rooms to a/c rooms with 3 beds and en suite.
Amenities: BMP Residence had two swimming pools, a great bar/ restaurant area and a Tourism Authority on site which was very convenient. There was a store-room to keep our luggage when we were on our trek and safety deposit boxes for all our valuables. They also provided free WiFi in common areas, a laundry service and a book corner that you could borrow from as long as you returned them back before you left. Bicycles and Mopeds could be hired through the Tourism Desk and they would be delivered to you and picked up from the Guest House at the end of the day.

Would we stay there again?
Maybe – Chiang Mai has so much to offer in terms of accommodation and if we were to return we would definitely want to try out somewhere else, however we would definitely recommend B.M.P Residence to anyone who is going to Chiang Mai, especially solo travellers, or young groups of travellers. It is a great place to meet people and the Tourism Authority is extremely informative and helpful with organising all tours and treks within Chiang Mai as well as your forward travel, ask for Ping pong she is the best!
