Vang Vieng – Jammee Guesthouse

Jammee Guesthouse is a lovely, quiet guesthouse located at the other end of the river to Bountang Hotel. We had previously been warned that this was ‘very out of the way’ although this was not the case at all. Jammee Guesthouse was the perfect location from which to explore the Blue Lagoon and Tham Chang cave. Jammee Guesthouse was still surrounded by restaurants and shops and places in which to hire bicycles the same as the other end of town, the only difference was there were less backpackers (which is not necessarily a bad thing).

Guesthouse Name and Address: Jammee Guesthouse, Ban Muang Song, Vang Vieng, Laos

Contact Details: Phone: +856 20 55898945 Email: jammeegh@hotmail.com

Room Details: Double Room with air con, en suite bathroom and balcony.

Price per night: We paid $17.50 per night for Jammee Guesthouse but this included breakfast (you could choose from pancakes, omelette baguette or muesli). There are definitely cheaper options available in the backpacker area (read more here), but Jammee was the ideal accommodation to explore the blue lagoon and caves.

Pro’s of Jammee Guesthouse:

  • Included a great breakfast
  • Beautiful Room with comfortable bed
  • Tours are available from the Guesthouse (these can be more expensive than the agents in town)
  • Good location
  • Friendly staff

Con’s of Jammee Guesthouse:

  • We don’t really have anything bad to say about this place. It was a little expensive but did include breakfast.

Marks out of 10: 8/10

Would we stay there again?

Yes – We would definitely stay at Jammee Guesthouse again. The Manager was great and very helpful and it was the best place to spend a few lazy days.
