After a horrendous 6 hour bus journey through the winding mountains of Laos we finally arrived in Luang Prabang. Our time here didn’t start too well after arriving at the hotel we had booked via Agoda and finding that they had not actually reserved the Double Room (which we had already paid $23 a night for) they had reserved a twin bed room. Ordinarily we wouldn’t care too much but after seeing it we realised the hotel was extremely overpriced and therefore complained and tried to get our money back. The lady at the desk apologised and said she couldn’t give us our money back and that we had to email Agoda directly. Anyway long story short we did finally get our money back and our lives were brightened up after walking down the street to find Pangkham Lodge, a beautiful guesthouse with so much more on offer for the $20 they were charging.
